artist statement

atisfaction from the process of creation without attachment to the final result is the main idea of my art

in the never ending striving for perfection, we have lost the ability to perceive the beauty in the simplicity of everyday life

I get inspiration from simple materials that others may not even notice — sand, wood, ground coffee, clay, feathers, motherboards, radio parts and other recycled elements.  I found  my harmony in them along with the imperfection of life, a life where nothing is eternal, nothing is complete and nothing is perfect. It’s this fleeting imperfection that creates genuine uniqueness… in things…. in people…

while creating paintings,I let go of control and expectation of the result, I simply allow nature to be. and only nature knows what cracks the coffee will dry on the canvas, what shapes the sand dunes will take, what color code will connect the feathers on the canvas and how life will make its way through stone and metal

through my artworks, I encourage people to slow down, stop and look around at the world  with a new perspective. I truly believe that when you stop striving to face the ideals of perfection imposed from the outside and look inside yourself, you can discover the true and natural beauty of the uniqueness of being. the art of being
